The BHCC library uses the Library of Congress Classification System to organize books on the shelves. A classification system uses letters and/or numbers (call numbers) to arrange the books so that books on the same topic are together. When using the online catalog you will see the call number at the bottom of the screen. The spine of the book will have the same call number that is listed on the online catalog. It is the call number that tells you where the book is shelved.
