Remote access is using the library databases from another location, such as your home or workplace. You can do library research at any time, even in the middle of the night.
If you are unable to log into the databases from home, please come in, call, or email us ASAP.

Usually we can solve the problem quickly, but we won't be here if you're doing your research very late at night or very early in the morning, so it's best to get things fixed as soon as you can.
To access the library's databases from off campus, you need to know two things:
Come to the Library Lending Services Desk to get a library password.
If you know your barcode and have an email address in your library account, you can reset your password by email here.
With a library password, you can also:
You need your library barcode number and four digit pin to access databases from off campus. Your four digit pin can be reset or given to you at the library's front desk.
Your library barcode can be found on your Student ID.
If you have the OneCard ID, you can find your barcode number on the back of your card.
If you do not have a student ID and need to access databases off campus please fill out this form and email to bhcclibrary@bhcc.edu and we will email you shortly with credentials.

If you have the new student ID, your barcode number is on the front of your card.
When you try to use the library databases from home, you will see a page that asks for your barcode and last name. Type these in the boxes and press Submit.

If you log in once, you should stay logged in for a little while. However, if you leave the computer for a long period of time, or if you shut down or put your computer to sleep, you will need to sign in again.
